These two new five bedroom homes are designed to relate to the existing urban context to the north and make the most of their landscape setting to the south. The roof forms are expressed as a cluster of elements reflective of the architectural character in the area, forming a transition between the village and the countryside beyond.
Our proposal for the long-term regeneration of this forgotten industrial land close to the centre of Edinburgh, provides an opportunity to deliver a mixed-use development comprising a range of commercial, employment, residential and amenity uses which would be of significant benefit to the city. A 266 bedroom student accommodation building, will act as a catalyst for the future regeneration.
