As Urban designer through the tender and competition stages of the project Nathan managed the RMJM submission to ensure their proposals form an integrated part of a compact City Centre environment.

​The proposed new campus for Cumbria University at the Caldew Riverside will act as a catalyst for the City’s regeneration establishing the University as a key element in the urban structure and strengthening the city as a whole.

​The campus can form an integral part of the cityscape forming ‘a new city quarter’- culturally, socially and economically – reinforcing a real sense of civic pride.

​Connectivity through access and involvement will enable the University of Cumbria to make an even stronger contribution to the local community and for Carlisle to become a true university city.
