RMJM

Gazprom Masterplan

In competition with 5 other internationally renowned architects the project team at RMJM proposed the winning design proposal for the global headquarters of Gazprom. At 396m high it is Europe’s tallest building.

Working within RMJM and a wider project team Nathan produced design proposals for the site wide masterplanning.

The original brief outlined a masterplan requirement for 280,000m2 of offices, public amenities, a new concert hall, modern art museum, a public library sports building, ice rink and new public space.

Through a series of design studies Nathan explored Gazprom City’s potential to unlock the wider regeneration of the eastern half of St Petersberg. This includes the production design proposals to illustrate how a new urban structure could be created.

The regeneration that will be delivered from this project has the potential to deliver economic and social benefits to St Petersburg’s and address the city’s industrial legacy.

Nathan undertook an in-depth assessment of the working drawings, specifications and schedules required for the delivery of production information for the Gazprom buildings.
