Nathan prepared a framework document for the Kings Building Campus demonstrating opportunities for re-structuring of schools and the creation of a long term campus development framework that can meet the needs of the University of Edinburgh's future needs.

​The Kings Buildings Framework was subsequently adopted as Supplementary Planning Guidance by City of Edinburgh Council.
