Nathan Ward
Director
Nathan Ward is an Architect, Urban Designer and Masterplanner with over 30 years experience in the construction industry.
As Director of FourWard he leads the team in a wide range of residential, retail, and leisure projects.
He has a strong commercial understanding and extensive experience in the UK and globally, providing consultancy advice for a wide range of land uses.
He has provided advice on design review panels, delivered university education programs and successfully engage with community groups and other stakeholders including UNESCO, A+DS, and Local Authorities.
In delivering this broad range of work he has co-ordinated and lead project teams, delivering; masterplans, urban design proposals, development frameworks, design statements, and detail design solutions at all stages of the development process.
Nathan has been a key team member in over 120 projects across nine countries in Europe, North Africa and Asia. Combined these projects have a gross designed area of over 4,200,000 sqm. This includes:
• Over 46,500 homes, on over 70 sites
• Over 100,000 sqm of education facilities
• Over 650,000 sqm of office space
• Over 1,000,000 sqm of infrastructure and industrial buildings
• Over 1,320,000 sqm mixed use, public, tourism & leisure facilities
Throughout his experience Nathan has been involved in a number of award winning projects both in the construction and arts industries which have received accolades including:
• The RIBA Stirling Prize
• German Architecture Prize (Recognition)
• Civic Trust Awards
• BCO Award
• BAFTA (Best British Short Film)
• Berlin Film Festival (Best Short Film)
• Edinburgh Film Festival (Best Short Film)
Nathan has an indepth knowledge expertise in off site and modern methods of construction (MMC).
He has also exhibited work at the Royal Scottish Academy annual exhibitions, the Demarco European Art Foundation, spoken at conferences internationally and contributed published works.
